RESPONSIBILITIES & THOUGHT PROCESS

 

In this project, that lasted 14 days, I was in charge of producing a team of 8 artists, programmers, and designers working on this game. Additionally, my tasks included general design and leading the design team more in-depth.

 

In development, we started out with the entire team pitching ideas for possible projects and we decided on a party game concept. The design team then took it upon themselves to develop this concept. During this process, after which we started producing the game, I maintained communication between every department and making sure everybody in the team was up-to-date with the changes made and solving problems for them so that they could keep working. Additionally, whenever the design team ran short on manpower or needed a decision to be made, I worked on the general aspects of the design of the game. 

 

In development of this project, I tried to let everybody have a say in what they felt was best for the game to optimise creative freedom. However, when time came, I made the final decisions based on the opinions and the production timeline set out before development. As design lead, I aimed to give the game a funny feeling and a short play session, which players can easily play on the sofa sitting side-by-side.
